Martina Rachel Crole graduated in 2006 with a Bachelor of Veterinary Science (BVSc) from the University of Pretoria. In 2007 she was employed as an intern and lectured veterinary anatomy at the Faculty of Veterinary Science, University of Pretoria. In that same year she obtained a BVSc Honours degree. In 2008 she was employed as a full-time lecturer in the Department of Anatomy and Physiology and in 2009 she obtained an MSc degree in veterinary anatomy with distinction. In 2010 she completed a postgraduate certificate in higher education (PGCHE). In 2011 she was employed as a Senior Lecturer in the same department and in 2013 she successfully completed a PhD in veterinary anatomy at the University of Pretoria.
